How To Recover Your Car After Being Towed?
First, find where it has been towed. Bring proof of ownership. Driver's license. Title sometimes. You can access your vehicle if documents are stored in your car. Some locations accept cash only. In some states they are required to accept cards. Can usually get personal items out of the car without paying anything. Laws vary by state. After paying, don't sign anything. Check your car for damage.

You will start incurring storage charges. Usually regulated by the city or state government. If you don't recover your vehicle, eventually it will be auctioned off.

Take pictures of the damage or of where you parked showing that it was not illegally parked. Contact the tow company and property owner where you were towed. File a civil suit against the towing company. Contact your state's Attroney General.
